If it’s not rain, it doesn’t belong in the drain!
Adopt Your Drain is an opportunity for residents of Southeastern Wisconsin to protect their watershed and communities without leaving their front yards.
When there are leaves, trash, or other forms of pollutants on the surface of a storm drain, they should be cleared to help prevent localized flooding and keep them from entering into our waterways.
Through the Adopt Your Drain program, Wisconsinites can commit to keeping a storm drain clear by formally adopting it on our website.

Track and report the communal impacts and the amount of debris prevented from entering local waterways every year

How to Adopt Your Drain
1. Visit www.adoptyourdrain.com and create a free account
2. Find a drain near your home, school, or workplace
3. Routinely check your drain and remove any trash or debris
4. Help us track our impact by reporting what you found!
Let us know what you find!
Reporting what you found on your storm drain, is a quick and easy way to let us know what debris you found, where you found it, and how much of it. This information is then added to our annual dashboard which showcases our volunteers’ impact. Don’t forget to fill out the Drain Inspection Survey after each cleaning!
