Leveraging Experience for Future Success
Participants from nonprofit, government, business and academic organizations gather each year for the Clean Rivers, Clean Lake Conference to learn about improving the health of our watersheds through policy innovation, technical and engineering advances, watershed restoration planning and practices, and collaborative stakeholder involvement.
The conference is an all-day event that includes oral and poster presentations, exhibits, an awards presentation for Sweet Water Water Quality Mini-Grant Program recipients, and a celebration of our Watershed Champions.

2018's conference theme was Innovating for Shared Prosperity. The conference theme was selected to showcase watershed strategies that promote economic development, quality of life and environmental integrity.
Sweet Water is utilizing the US Water Alliance’s One Water Approach and its six “arenas of action” to guide the conference program. To learn more about the One Water Approach, you can view the One Water website and roadmap here.
New IN 2018: ‘Shed Talks!
In addition to individual and panel presentation sessions, the conference included Ted Talk style mini-presentations we're calling 'Shed Talks. The purpose of these ‘Shed Talk sessions is to showcase how transformative thinking and innovative water-related projects are springing up in Southeastern Wisconsin.
