Municipalities are increasingly utilizing green stormwater infrastructure in their public works projects. Learn how you can incorporate these practices into your work and hear about local success stories. If you’re involved in municipal stormwater, engineering, and/or public works projects and want to do more with green stormwater infrastructure, this workshop is for you!

Targeted audiences include:

  • Municipal Staff

  • Public Works

  • Engineers

  • Community Development

  • Construction

  • Planning

  • Elected or Appointed Municipal Officials

Join us as we explore the benefits of green approaches to managing stormwater within municipal projects. Southeastern Wisconsin municipal stormwater, engineering, and public works employees, and anyone else on staff who works on stormwater, water quality, sustainability, or community development, are invited. Likewise, private sector consultants who regularly assist municipalities with stormwater management, landscape design, landscape maintenance, and related efforts are also welcome, as are municipal appointed and elected decision-makers.

From green alleys to permeable surfacing, here you’ll learn what green stormwater infrastructure looks like at a municipal level, why it makes sense, and how to make it a successful part of your toolbox. Learn about available cost-share funding opportunities and other incentives for these projects, too.

Please RSVP to: giworkshops@cleanwisconsin.org

Presented by Clean Wisconsin, Sweet Water (the Southeastern Wisconsin Watersheds Trust, Inc.), and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, with funding support from Wisconsin’s Coastal Management Program and NOAA.
